For the first time, representatives of the Telekom Srbija Group visited Australia to present the new, high-quality MOVE TV service to our diaspora on this distant continent.
During their visit, they met with His Excellency Rade Stefanovic, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Commonwealth of Australia, in Canberra. To their mutual satisfaction, an agreement was reached to provide all Serbian language schools with free access to the MOVE app service, aiming to further encourage the preservation of the Serbian language and culture among young people in the diaspora.
After visiting Canberra, the delegation arrived in Melbourne, where they held a series of meetings with Sasa Savic, President of the Australian Serbian Commerce Chamber, as well as with representatives of Serbian associations and organizations of Serbs and their descendants.
The goal of all these meetings was to strengthen cooperation with the diaspora and further adapt the MOVE service to the specific needs of users in this market.
The first impressions of our people in Australia regarding the MOVE TV service are fantastic. Our diaspora particularly praises and emphasizes the availability of series and films that cannot be found on global platforms, as well as our exclusive TV channels from the Balkans, such as Superstar TV, Arena Sport, BN, Toxic Channel, and more.
They highlight numerous features that give MOVE app an edge over other similar services available in Australia. Among these are the stable signal, which ensures uninterrupted viewing without buffering or disruptions - something that has been described by many of our users as a "mission impossible" for Balkan channels on this market until now. Additionally, personalized playlists and thematic content collections create the impression that the service is tailor-made for each user and their family.
As a reminder, MOVE app, launched by MTEL Global worldwide, is designed for the Balkan diaspora. The service provides access to over 300 TV channels from the ex-YU region, including the most popular regional, sports, music, and movie channels. The Video Club section offers more than 500 domestic movies and series. Thanks to the rich offering from Telekom Srbija’s Superstar production, the library of films and series is regularly updated, providing users with exclusive content aimed at preserving the cultural and linguistic identity of our people abroad.
During the official visit to Australia, our colleagues will also visit the St. Sava Church in Elaine, near Melbourne, on Sunday, January 26th. A large number of Serbian Orthodox Church faithful are expected to gather to celebrate the feast of St. Sava. The event will also be attended by His Eminence, Metropolitan Siluan of Australia and New Zealand.
The visit of Telekom Srbija Group representatives to Australia once again underscores the company’s strategic commitment to developing services for the diaspora worldwide, as well as the dedication of all our employees to preserving the language and culture for future generations.
