The cinematic fairy tale "Za danas toliko" premieres on RTS1

On January 4th, the first channel of RTS will premiere Marko Djordjevic's new film "Za danas toliko" ("That's It for Today"). This charming and unpretentious cinematic story about happy people, simple living, and the closeness of a family in the present moment is inspired by Dusko Radovic's book. With a soundtrack featuring a song by Kemal Monteno, the film captured the hearts of cinema audiences over the past year.

Director Marko Djordjevic shot the movie in his hometown of Kragujevac, with local actors portraying the Sarenac family. The eldest brother, Vasa (Nikola Rakocevic), returns to his family home, where his brother Moca (Filip Djuric), sister Visnja (Ivana Vukovic), niece Marta (Miona Pejkovic), and their dog Kulisa welcome him with his favorite dessert - cupavci. Reunited after a long time, the family sets aside all other obligations to savor every shared moment. What seems like an ordinary summer day transforms into something extraordinary, as the Sarenac family brings contagious cheerfulness to the small screen. The story begins and ends with the preparation of cupavci, symbolizing fond family memories and the bonds between people.

“The film was born out of a desire to be present in the moment, right here, rather than being lost in thoughts or on phones. I believe the audience recognized this as the core message, something we weren’t even fully aware of while making the film,” said Djordjevic. He emphasized that with this film, he proved that an artistic film can also be highly commercial at the same time.

The film has won numerous awards and accolades. It premiered in the Main Competition Program of FEST, where it received two festival honors: Best Actress (Ivana Vukovic) and Best Serbian Film (awarded by the newspaper "Politika").
