"Sjene proslosti" - the new TV series that has captivated audiences

This fall, RTL television premiered a new drama series that tells the compelling story of four women: Marta (Jelena Percin), Paula (Dajana Culjak), Ana (Ana Maras Harmander), and Olga (Marina Fernandez), along with their families.

In their childhood, these women were close friends, but their friendship shattered when the group, led by Marta, grew resentful of Olga’s popularity. They planned a cruel prank that publicly humiliated Olga and led to her expulsion from high school. This betrayal fractured their friendship and changed Olga's life forever. Despite her attempts to prove her innocence, Olga failed and was forced to leave her suburban life in Zagreb.

Twenty years later, Olga’s return unsettles the seemingly peaceful lives in the suburban neighborhood. The paths of the four former friends cross once again. Although Olga, now a successful gynecologist, intends to continue her life peacefully, facing her old (and perhaps still hostile) friends reignites a desire for revenge. This desire sets off a series of unexpected, tragic events, bringing many buried, dark secrets to the surface.

The plot is woven with themes like love, revenge, power, friendship, manipulation, and the fear of loss. The series is unique not only for its strong characters and their complex relationships but also for the specific, unspoken rules that govern life in this suburban community. Is anyone truly innocent? Who will emerge victorious in this game of power and manipulation?
