  • Film and series “Volja sinovljeva”

A Serbian adventure sci-fi film and series from 2024, quite unique for our region. The story takes place in the near post-apocalyptic future after a nuclear war. A mysterious blind guslar wanders through the devastated world, singing the ballad Volja sinovljeva” Through his song, he tells the story of a small community that bravely fought for its freedom. Are the details in the song mere legends, or could they be reality?

  • Film “Megdan”

The film follows a nightclub bouncer nearing the end of his MMA fighting career. He’s trying to leave his past behind, but a moral debt catches up with him. Forced back into the fighting world, he battles not only for survival but also for redemption and to protect his family.

  • Film “Mrak”

A psychological thriller portraying a Serbian family from Kosovo and Metohija and their struggle to survive in March 2004. Inspired by true events, the film explores the life of Serbs living in enclaves. It tells the story of young Milica, who, after her father and uncle disappear, is left alone with her mother and grandfather in an isolated house, living in constant fear.

  • Film “Heroji Halijarda”

A story inspired by the largest rescue operation of Allied pilots behind enemy lines in aviation history, known as “Operation Halyard.” Set in the summer of 1944, it follows the Serbian people, led by the Yugoslav Army in the Homeland under General Dragoljub Mihailovic, who from an improvised airstrip in the village of Pranjani, saved over 500 American and other Allied pilots from certain death.

  • Film “Ruski konzul”

The latest film by Zarko Lausevic, based on the novel of the same name by Vuk Draskovic, follows the story of psychiatrist Ilija Jugovic. After the sudden death of a patient in Belgrade, he is punished by the Party and sent to Prizren. There, he meets Ljuba Bozovic, a professor who believes he is the “Russian Consul.” As local authorities attempt to evict Serbs from Kosovo, Jugović grows close to Bozovic and becomes his protector. The film evolves from a political drama into a prison thriller, intertwining the fates of Serbs and Albanians once again.

A film from the trilogy “Kafana na Balkanu” inspired by the life of singer Aca Lukas.
It tells the story of young singer Pedja Kovac, who changes his life in search of new opportunities in the music industry. Struggling to navigate his new reality and trying to reconcile two extremes in his life, the protagonist is torn between his old and new ways, his old and new identity. Can someone who is “torn apart” ever truly come back together?
